The town of Hluhluwe is under 10km from Umziki Pan, where all food and liquor supplies are available.
About 5km out of Hluhluwe, you can buy local souvenirs such as woven baskets, Zulu beadwork and various crafts at Ilala Weavers.
Marine sanctuary and coral reef, as well as scuba-diving mecca – Sodwana Bay is less than 90km from Umziki Pan. Spend the day at the beach and come home to relax in intimate surroundings.
The Hluhluwe and Mkuze Game Reserves are 26 km and 60 km away respectively, where guests can view the Big Five – elephant, lion, the rare black rhino (as well as its white rhino cousin), leopard and African buffalo – as well as other wild game.
Visit the nearby Zulu Croc Reptile Park (N22, main Sodwana road). This park offers a hands-on crocodile and snake experience, bringing these fascinating creatures up close and personal and allowing you to touch (if you dare!) some of the world’s most feared reptiles. This awesome interactive encounter will no doubt leave you with many unforgettable images and memories.
